Banana Businesses of CIC Agri Produce Marketing (Pvt) Ltd.

CIC Agri Produce Marketing (Pvt) Ltd was incorporated on 04th October 2006 as a fully owned subsidiary of CIC Seeds (Pvt) Ltd. The principal activity of the company is production and marketing of Cavendish Banana. The company commenced commercial operation of Cavendish Banana in 2008. Currently we have cultivated 75 acres of banana plantation in Hingurakdoda (36 acres) & Pelwehera (39 acres).

Annual banana production would be 1,100 Mt and produce three finish goods categories such as quality banana (65%), cavendish banana (20%) & green banana (15%) respectively. 60% of quality banana have been disposed through modern trade (Keells & Cargills) & remaining production is disposed at farm gate sales.
