CIC’s Industrial Raw Materials unit consists of three key business units:

  • Chemanex
  • Industrial Chemicals Division
  • Nalco

 

Chemanex

Chemanex deals in imported and locally produced chemicals and industrial intermediates. Since its inception, it has expanded into the manufacture of intermediates, additives to automobile fluids, and specialty chemicals for international markets.

 

Chemanex currently serves the European, Middle Eastern, and Asian regional markets. The company is recognised as a preferred supplier by its international partners and has been awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification. Its production facilities have been approved by the Central Environmental Authority for adhering to environmental safety laws and regulations. Stringent quality checks are performed at each step to ensure that high standards of product quality are maintained. Industrial Chemicals Division

Primarily a business to business company, CIC’s Industrial Chemicals Division focuses on the manufacture of binders, adhesives and trading intermediaries for the coating, rubber, plastic, textile, food, and personal care sectors. The division produces superior quality products through a keen focus on expert knowledge sharing and through thorough research and development. The division also represents reputed global suppliers in its trading business.

CIC’s packaging business unit includes Cisco Speciality Packaging (Pvt) Ltd, which manufactures plastic containers for the domestic and export markets. Approximately 50% of its products are supplied to manufacturers of Sri Lanka’s leading carbonated soft drink and mineral water brands. The company also caters to cosmetics and agriculture businesses within and outside CIC Holdings.

 

Cisco’s long term dedication to quality has earned it the ISO 9001:2008 certification from the Sri Lanka Standards Institute. It has also been awarded ISO 22000:2005 Quality Systems Certification by SGS.
